Francis & Sara — Ireland

Francis & Sara

Francis and Sara at the edge of an Irish sea cliff.

To Francis and Sara —

You said you wanted Ireland because it was loud enough to forgive a small ceremony, and quiet enough to make a small one feel like a cathedral.

The cliffs cooperated. The Atlantic cooperated. The wind, technically, did not — but I haven't been able to picture either of you without it in the years since. The day looked like you. The day still does.

If a wedding is a long sentence we read out loud once and carry around the rest of our lives, yours was a beautiful one. I am grateful to have been there to write it down.

For the couple

If your day is the one worth remembering,
I’d like to be the one who keeps it.
